We stayed four nights in Atlantic City. The first three nights at anchor in a great little spot behind Rum Point. We went through a really narrow channel that did not look big enough for our boat, but the internet said we’d be OK….
The Anchorage was close enough to kayak over to the beach area, and a quick dinghy ride to the aquarium and casino area.
We waited out gale force winds for a night at this anchorage. We are still a little nervous that we don’t have a big enough anchor or enough chain. Before the storm came through we tied an extra line to a mooring ball for extra holding.
The last night we stayed at the marina at the Golden Nugget Casino. We visited the boardwalk, did laundry, fueled up, and got ready to head north. The kids were impressed walking through the casino and seeing the games as well as the Hand of Faith gold nugget on display. We had an impromptu statistics lesson to explain gambling.
My old college friend Paul came down from Philadelphia with his family for a breakfast visit. Thanks Paul, and congratulations on your beautiful family!
